5/1/2024 Voices Unheard: The Dire Situation for Women and Girls as Israel Slaughters and Bombs the PalestiniansRead NowLet me begin with a striking observation: "the silence is deafening." It's alarming how women's rights groups remain silent on the atrocities faced by Palestinian women in the ongoing conflict. The United Nations has raised concerns regarding the disturbing reports of women and girls going missing, the lack of proper menstrual health products, instances of rape, women left in deplorable conditions, forced sexual acts, and many other violations. Before October 7th, the Passport Bros movement faced significant backlash, with critics online attacking the movement without a true understanding of its purpose. They assumed the role of defenders of women in foreign nations without grasping the essence of our cause. In my book, "Passport Bros: The Official Ideology," I delve into why I was the first to advocate for this movement and clarify what we stand for. Despite our intentions, we have been labeled as predators, accused of taking advantage of adult women, and even blamed for molestation. Some have gone as far as to commend women for robbing and murdering American men. These are vile, egregious, and unfounded accusations that have been irresponsibly hurled at American men, and such irresponsibility is shocking. We are unfairly grouped with individuals who don't even identify with the Passport Bros, some of whom are involved in illegal and horrendous activities overseas. However, these are not the people I know or represent. Following the onslaught of criticism, these same detractors have now fallen silent in the face of what is happening in Israel. Their previous fervor in video after video has vanished, highlighting a double standard in their advocacy. Since I advocate for American men to seek girlfriends and wives abroad, I feel compelled to speak up. As a Hebrew, a descendant of the US slave trade—a wrong the US has yet to rectify—I have much to say on this matter, which I plan to explore further in future writings. The historical trauma endured by Central Black Americans, spanning over 300 years of weak Reconstruction and Jim Crow laws, is truly eye-opening. White enslavers raped their slaves, forcing enslaved women to bear their children, endure attacks by the enslaver’s wife, work from sunrise to sunset just like men, breastfeed the enslaver's babies, cook for the enslavers, among many other heinous acts. With such atrocities sanctioned by law, one must ask who was there to stop any of this. Every country siding with and agreeing to Israel's treatment of Palestinians has perpetrated similar acts in some form, be it Australia, Canada, or any part of Europe. Efforts to silence individuals who speak out on these issues often result in labels such as "anti-this" or "anti-that"; some individuals face job loss or even arrest for participating in peaceful protests. However, women's groups and movements, for the most part, remain silent. When it comes to powerful men accused or even convicted of misconduct, these groups mobilize against them, with some individuals later suing for the men's resources, only to then fade into silence. There are a few who speak out about injustices in Africa and South America, but the prominent voices usually heard advocating for women's rights do not seem to take a strong, vocal stance against the injustices faced by Palestinian women. Figures like Anahit Misak Kasparian, a journalist and anchor from the TYT network, and a few others, are exceptions. There is also an account of a female soldier who went to assist Israel in the bombing of Palestine and was raped by fellow soldiers. This incident was seemingly buried by the media, with little to no public discourse on the matter. There's an understanding of what is happening in that region, yet there seems to be an effort to present a different narrative to the world. However, I am confident that the truth about her assault will eventually resurface. Despite this, many may not sympathize with her, considering she was on her way to participate in actions that would harm Palestinian civilians, including women and children. This complicates the narrative when she attempts to share her story. The same support from the US and the UK that enables the mistreatment of Palestinian women echoes the historical backing by the law for white US enslavers harming my ancestors. The world has watched other nations commit similar atrocities elsewhere, repeating the cycle of oppression. Yet, in this era of #MeToo and #BelieveAllWomen, many remain surprisingly silent, continuing as if nothing is amiss. This selective outrage, often dictated by media or those in power informing the public when to feel indignation, is noted by observant individuals. While I am not naming specific individuals at this moment, it is noteworthy that this issue has not gained more attention, especially after seven months of conflict. How can the most notable women in music, film, television, religion, large corporations, and small businesses, just to name a few, all remain silent? Some even side with Israel as if they are indifferent to the plight of women and girls. There needs to be a website dedicated to these issues so history will never forget where they stood. The era of a one-sided "we will never forget" is over, but all must remember, especially in times like these, where governments engage in mass killing and attempt to destroy a people with propaganda for their own agenda. #women #metoo #believeallwomen #palestine #israel #genocide
